We have installed some shiny new forum software and have integrated it more into the rest of the site, as well as making it searchable from the site home page.

| New layout We have built the new website on a new platform. We are now using Joomla! which is a CMS (Content Management System)The move to a CMS has enabled us to better organise and search the articles on the site. All articles have tags associated with them, that relate them to other articles for further reading.

| New sections / changed sections / same sectionsThe Blog A lot of articles that we have on pipingdesigners.com are of a general piping nature, rather than strictly training articles, so we've put these in the blog ... some great articles live here!
Tips, Tools & Training  These were 3 separate areas on the previous version of the site, but we have now combined them and grouped the articles in one of fifteen topics.
Codes and Standards This area hasn't changed much, other than the fact that all the articles are now indexed & tagged, and are much to search.
We have installed some shiny new forum software and have integrated it more into the rest of the site, as well as making it searchable from the site home page. Members of the forum are now members of the whole site - this is not of too much note right now, but as we add more features to the site, we will make certain areas "members only"
The Piping Job Board  Nothing much has changed here ... Except the jobs ... they change regularly, so keep an eye on the board! | |
