Orifice FLange with more than two tappings in PDS

Here is why.
A) You can buy Orifice Flanges Sets with no Flange Taps at all.
You can buy Orifice Flanges Sets with just one Flange Tap in each Flange (for a total of Two)
C) You can buy Orifice Flanges Sets with two Flange Taps in each Flange (for a total of Four)
d) You can also buy Orifice Flanges with or with-out "Jack-Screws"
This means that whoever sets up the PDS (or PDMS) Data Base needs to 1) Be aware of this, 2) Ask what the Client wants or Project Standard is going to be or 3) Make allowance for a multi-Selection Option if "any" may apply.
Now you may want to ask a few questions:
1. If there are no Flange Taps how do they connect the Flow Transmitter? How do they get a reading? The answer is, for certain Commodities and Flow Conditions they need "Throat" Taps. This is where they add an "O-Let " fitting and a very small hole on the pipe a specific distance upstream and downstream of the Orifice Flange Set it self.
2. If there are no Jack Screws how do they spread the Flanges to remove the Plate and Gaskets? This is where they use a "Flange Spreader". This is a special tool that has a rotating wedge that hooks between the flanged and when rotated it spreads the flanges apart. (See this web www.flangespreaders.com/FlangeBoss.html )
3. What is the proper orientation for the "Taps" on Orifice Flanges? This is where you need to have your senior Piping leads get together with the Instrument Engineer and the Client and establish a "Project Standard". There are many options and many factors that influence the selection.

But I have a query generated from your answer.
My qestions is from your FAQ#1.
I know there are some services or material specification where we use tapholes on pipe for connecting Flow Transmitters.
But in this case why we call flanges as Orifice Flanges. It will be a normal flange.
Also I agree that orifice flange is simialr to normal flange in dimension except additional taps.

Thanks for your informative replies but I restate my query "Is it possible to place an Orifice flange in PDS Piping Module with more than two tappings?" here I am concern about modeling an Orifice Flange in PDS with more than two tappings.
Kindly provide some information on this.

Maybe and Maybe not.
It will depend on whether the Client (Maintenance) wants to have the "Jack Screws" or will prefer the use of "Flange Spreaders"

The distinction here in description actually will help in quick identification (procurement) in Bill of Material. You'd not want anyone dig deeper just to find the right item.

1. Check on PDS forum on this site or any other popular PDS forum.
2. Check with Software provider (Intergraph)
