They is "CLIENT (premature) standard" here in my case which is under development (Pre-FEED project).

If I need to use 1:700 or 1:1000 scale, I can't use it....that is so problematic & I just want to do the right thing & not what just they say (which might be wrong)

Really not able to make a way out of this.

I agree client is always right but but they may be wrong some times!!......can't we try to do the right at first time?

Thnx

We have used 1:4000, 1:6000 and at most 1:10000 for the overall plot plan in our past LNG projects.
The scale has depend on the necessity to show vital site informations such as total scope (area) of the plant, access to it (outside roads, jetty), and sometimes the footprint for nearby industrial/residential complex.

I'll presume that Client standard drawing scale (1:2, 1:5, 1:10, 1:20, 1:50, 1:100, 1:200, 1:500) applies only to area plot plan, small unit plot plan, piping plan, etc. otherwise there's no way you can fit all those information in one drawing.

So what I'm gonna recommend is for you to sit down with the Client and explain your point on how you want to present the overall plot. If they still prefer to stick with the scales written on their standard, you will likely have several sheets for the overall plot plan.

Knives, seems to me a logical point & i did that already. Client agreed & as you rightly said the listed scales are made for smaller drawings.

Thanks
