Hi,
I wanted to know how to calculate a Pig Launcher/Receiver Diameter & Length of Major Barrel & Minor Barrel for Offshore Platform.
Is there any guide lines are thumb rule to calculate.

Thumb rules for Barrel diameter
Minor barrel - same size as pipeline
Major barrel - 2" higher Diameter for 12" and below diameter pipelines, 4" higher Diameter for 14" & above diameter pipeline.
You may go through Shell DEP standard (DEP 31.40.10.13). for PIG TRAP DESIGN.

I agree with rlpooniya...Shell DEP has similar guidelines to follow.
