INSULATED JOINT was created by chanock
Can any body help me about finding a reference for INSULATED JOINT? INSTALLATION RULES, POSITION.

CAN I INSTAL A INSULATED JOINT ON PIPELINES UNDER THE SEA (-15 METERS DEPTH)?

I think for best response from the experts on the forum you might want to conclusively clarify whether or not you are talking about some sort of electrical isolation of some piping sections or members, as opposed to thermal insulation around a piping joint (although I cannot claim such expertise, I suspect salt water saturating either might not help what you may be trying to do!)

Do you mean insulation joint. This is to prevent galvanic corrosion between the dismimilar materials.

I have a pipe section in Cu/Ni that has interfaces with carbon steel and dupplex piping. Is there any risk of galvanic corrosion, should I use insulation gaskets to isolate them ?
