1.0 JUNIOR DRAFTSPERSON

Works under general supervision, to specific instructions within established procedures. Performs general drafting work, which may include back drafting, detailing and copying. May also be involved with clerical duties, electronic files and document control.

1.1 Responsibilities

Produce simple detailed drawings from layouts, sketches and design drawings.
Able to use 2-D and 3_D CAD systems to revise and modify existing drawings including the addition of notes and details.

Able to use Auto Cad/Windows to produce charts and simple graphic presentations.
Maintaining project drawing files and the electronic transfer of drawings.

1.2 Job Knowledge

Basic communication skills.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Knowledge and experience of basic drafting techniques including CAD.
