Replied by Jop on topic Newton, I will try to give
Newton,
I will try to give you some answers. However, there are others out there that are more qualified in these areas. Hopefully they will chime in and add their wisdom and knowledge here.
Your questions:
1. (material specifications)
I am not sure if you mean Piping Material (Line Class) Specifications or just the Material Specifications for individual piping items (i.e.: Valves, etc.). The Line Class Material Specifications need to be done by someone who is trained, qualified and experienced in piping materials. Each Line Class needs to be customized for a specific commodity (or group of commodities) with a specific range of process design and operation conditions. Each line class will be a specific base material (Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel etc.). Each Base material line class will be further broken down by a specific corrosion allowance and or gasket material. Then all piping components required for that line class will be listed and defined by it's material code. The line class will also include allowable branch tables, special assembles (vents and drains) and any supporting notes or qualifications.

2. (details for NACE)
Go here to learn about NACE

3. (Potential Load)
I can't help you here, sorry.

4. (Water Hammer effect)
Go here to learn about "water hammer"

5. (Cold Pull Technique)
I found the following that you may find interesting. www.pipingdesign.com/piping_quiz.pdf This is from India and appears to use terminology from your country. Near the bottom, item #50 addresses "Cold Pulling". We here in the U.S. and many other places in the Piping world call this "Cold Spring". They are the same thing as far as I can see.
