i got a spool submerged in the sea what is the weihgt of the spool 100% flooded and 100% dry?

pipe=24"Ø
thikness=0.938"
lenght= 272 ft

can anybody help me?

i think this...
pipewt.= 272@235#lg=63,920# (10,600#)
(entrapped water=45961#)
is good?

chanock ...Hmmm ALL my charts indicate that there is NO 0.938" wall thickness. They did indicate that Sch, 60 pipe is 0.968" wall thick (closest to your 0.938” call-out). Also API-5L-X60 is a class specification, I was asking for a ASTM material type. …BUT looking at A694 pipe (which fits API-5L-X60 class).Under those parameters weight of 272 ft of empty pipe is 64,736 Lbs. Water filled pipeline weight is 109,698 Lbs. . Hope this helps!?? Good Luck!

I maybe wrong but API 5L X60 is actually material type. Usually, for that type of material of the line pipe, ASTM A694 Gr.60 is used for the fittings (tees, elbows, weldolets, etc...)
