ASTM A 182 F316 Heat Treatment was created by hernan.rizza
I would like to know if someone knows any heat treatment to reduce the hardness of a plug made of ASTM A182F316, this is a forged material and now it has a hardness of 170 HB. I need 150 HB or less without loose the SS properties.

150 HB could be too hard

to find. For SS 316 RTJ gaskets, we usually specify annealed with max. 160 HB
