Ball Type Check Valve was created by HHossein
Does "Ball Type Check Valve" have any spring or it just work by the weight of its ball?

Can we use piston type instead of it if the vendor could not supply?

If you are the Piping Material Engineer, writing the Piping Material Line Class Specifications you can select either the Ball Check (normally cheaper) or the Piston Check (normally more expensive) valve for a specific Line Class.

However if you are a Piping Designer doing piping layout you must use the valve that is in the Line Class Specification for that specific line you are working on. You cannot go out of "Spec" on your own!

Ball check valves don't have a spring to close the ball, gravity acting on the ball is the actuator, that and the flow of the commodity trying to flow backwards.
