2. RATIING 150 LB – What is this LB stands for…?
3. In pipe fittings, what are these names - FULL COUPLING, RED COUPLING, BAR SCOCKET PLUG etc…?
4. FITTING 6000 LB FS SW A – 181 GR.1 – What is this 6000, FS, SW stands for…?
6000 LB THD/NPT A – 181 GR.1 – What is THD/NPT stands for…?
SCH.* CS BW A-234 GR.WPB – What is SCH.*, BW stands for…?
5. FLANGES 150 LB RF WN SCH 160 BORE – What is this BORE denotes…?

150 LB RF WN SCH 80 BORE – What is the difference between theses two…?

3. FULL COUPLING = Same size to same size
, RED COUPLING= One size reduces to a smaller size
, BAR STOCK PLUG = This is a plug that is made out of solid bar stock and is used to plug the outlet of a screwed valve
4. FS SW = Forged Steel, Socket WeldS
THD/NPT = Threaded/Nominal Pipe Size
SCH = Schedule
BW = Butt Weld
5. BORE = Inside diameter
150 LB RF SO = Slip On flange
150 LB RF WN = Weld Neck Flange
6. GASKETS CAF 1/16’’ THK – What is this “ CAF 1/16’’ �??

Is not NPT = (National Pipe Thread) and designated in ANSI B1.20.1
CAF 1/16" = Compressed Asbestos Fibre Gasket 1/16" thickness

what I use is as follows:
NPT = National Pipe thread Tapered
NPS= National Pipe thread Straight
...Last thing is a question, WHERE do they let you use ASB gasket material these days?

No doubt it is still used in many 3rd world countries where OSHA has no jurisdiction.
