FRP Piping

Dear Friends...

Please help me...
In my project some of FRP piping is involved. I have not used the FRP piping in my experence (last five years). This is first time i am started to use. How two components will conect? any pasting method to join? i have used only welding and theraded connections. I like to know the basic concepts. How this material better than CS & SS?

I am using bentley Autoplant. Autoplant users can give me advise that which catalog me have to select, which spec can use....

Please advise me.

ashokaa ...FRP (Fiberglass Resin Pipe) is a piping system where the components are all made of fiberglass. The fitting and connections are glued in place, much like PVC piping. This type of piping stands up to acid type commodities much better then C.Stl or S.Stl ...and is cheaper too. One thing to watch for is supporting, needs to happen alot closer then Stl. piping. It's been a time since I worked with Auto Plant, but as I remember there was a class to cover it. Hope this helps! Good Luck ...Mark
