Butterfly valve connection was created by Renatas
Good day,

please could someone answer me if it's possible to connect wafer type butterfly valve (DN250) between slip on raised face flanges without welding neck (DIN86030).

Without any other information the answer is yes.
The ID of the pipe is normally the same or larger than the OD of the Butterfly disk.
You should check to be sure if you know the actual valve you will (or have) purchase (d).

the problem is not of rotating disc, the problem is of leakage. This valves has bonded liner, and in data sheet producer recommending to use welding neck flanges to get bigger area of connection between flange and valve (bonded liner), and if we will use flanges without welding neck this area will be smaller of welding seam, but is it possible of this smaller connection area we will have leakage? i'm afraid our workshop can't center right these valves. Hope You understand my problem.

Remember I wrote "Without any other information the answer is yes."

Now you have given "other information" so the answer is now No!

The lining of valves such as this do have a habit of "creeping" out of place. So you MUST follow the requirements of the manufacturer.

Renatas ...I have afew questions for you. You did indicated this is a 250# butterfly valve? ...SO this takes a "full face" gasket?? ...NOT a raised face gasket? AND what size are we talking about?
