We ordered butterfly valves (nominal diameter 250) series 58 from cat. econosto, and this valve has no flanges (wafer type) and has its own rubber liner, so it means we don't need gasket any more. And when workshop tried to install first valve on sea water inlet pipe we had a leakage. In catalogue is written that these valves are suitable for mounting between flanges DIN PN10/16, but in some other producers data sheet for such valves i found that they are suggesting to use flanges with welding neck to get a bigger connection area between valves rubber and flange face, because flange with welding neck has nearly the same inner diameter like valve.
