I am learning to weld using oxy/acetylene, and want to practice making tee pieces etc. Can anyone recommend any software that produces templates (patterns) that can be wrapped around the pipe, marked and then cut?

try using "litio", which is a very easy-to-use AutoCAD based program, and I think is freeware, it will help you with the templates

Thanks. Unfortunately Litio is not free US$48 and is for sheet metal folding, not for templates around pipe.
Any other suggestions would be welcome.
