New to PDMS - v11.5 was created by Crashtested
I hear there is a v12, I know we're behind the curve. After 7yrs in a strictly 2D ACAD environment I am trying to unlearn a few habits that I can no longer hold onto working with PDMS.

Are there any super-secret websites or links anyone can point me toward to aide in my re-education from AutoCAD to PDMS.

My company graciously provided 2 weeks (6.5 days) of in house training from our NA PDMS expert. Though the information & explanations were well presented we didn't have time to execute 2 or 3 different methods of practicing the current lesson. For myself being much more of a visual learner I find myself struggling trying to regurgitate and implement this week what I learned.

As well we were given a quick overview of Equipment, Structural and Piping, piping being last as that was my groups (2 of us) area of concentration.

Yesterday I felt like someone had been kicking me in the beets right from the word go! I left the office yesterday feeling very self defeated and unsure of my abilities. Which, for me is rare as I am usually sure of myself & my abilities almost to a fault

Today I am happy to say i have laid out some reference steel and have actually started to run a pipe! I'm sure as with anything my comfort level will come with practice.

So yeah anyway... if anyone has any pointers or tips I'm all ears!!

TIA

This may surprise a lot of people, but have you tried www.youtube.com ??

If you search youtube with PDMS or Aveva, you will find a number of video tutorials.

You will probably require a broadband connection though.

Hey thanks Anton! I never would have thought to look to youtube for something like that... seems far to practical LOL We'll I've been in the drivers seat for the last 3 months now and feeling fairly comfortable with the software overall.

@ravishe
I have already joined up at WwW.PdMsWoRlD.cOm and learned a few things!
