calculate pipe thicknees(AMSE B31.3) was created by anushbabin
I need help to calculate pipe thicknees(AMSE B31.3).Wall thickness Calculation for a 6"NB pipe design pressure 0.5barg to Full Vacuum. Material A106 Gr B, Co-efficients to be selected by designer including justification.PLease show me how to solve this problem??

Kindly you can not use ASME B31.3 for internal pressure less than 15psig.

Kindly you can not use ASME B31.3 for internal pressure less than 15psig.

Hi,
You can use ASME B SEC VIII for calculating pipe wall thickness in full vacuum condition.
ASME B31.3 doesn't talks about thickness calculation under vacuum condition.
