how to decide which support to be placed was created by bskumar
hi this is bs .i am having one doubt.please clarify if u can.my doubt is how we decide which support to be in a perticular pipeline.

i mean where to place anchor,guide,spring supports.
if we place anchor why it us to be placed ,may be guide also be placed.is there any standard which support to be placed.

Your questions are covered in the topics I pointed you to.
I would also suggest you ask your piping stress engineer to look at your Iso to determine where anchors and guides are required, particularly for high temperature (and very low temperature) lines which would be subject to thermal movement.
