Generally, we do not use guide and line stopper on clamp shoe.
when can we use a guide on clamp shoe? Is it ok to use guide on clamp shoe
if it is only for earthquake load?

When can we use a guide on clamp shoe?
You must ask your self, Why are you using Clamp Shoes?
Is it because it is considered cheaper to install in the field?
or
Is it because the piping system is metal but lined with plastic, glass or some other material that forbids welding
or
Is the piping system non-metallic such as FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic)
You need to be able to address these types of questions when it comes to guides. I suggest you get more information on this subject and come back to us.
